3 – 5 Years
First Journeys provide their very own custom School Readiness Program Book, prepared in detail by two Early Childhood Teachers who are dedicated to embed a love for learning in all essential key learning areas.
Our School Readiness Program prepares children for all upcoming years of their future schooling adventures!
We focus on the vital transition to primary school ensuring children feel prepared and comfortable whilst making friends, learning participation, and developing a positive attitude and disposition to learning.

What is School Readiness?
School Readiness includes a variety of experiences that aim to accommodate the much-needed transition and preparation of children entering Kindergarten and the school environment. Our aim is to develop children’s confidence, independence and familiarity to the expectations of starting at ‘big school’.

With confidence, independence, and familiarisation within children’s world of learning, children are truly able to experience Kindergarten more genuinely and positively, setting them up for a bright future in their schooling life.
HOW TO ENROL
First Journeys operates during NSW school terms and school holidays (all dates are listed below).

School Term Dates
Term 1: February 5th to April 12th
Term 2: April 29th to July 5th
Term 3: July 22nd to September 27th
Term 4: October 14th to December 20th
Session Times
Session1: 9:00am - 1:30pm (4.5 hours)
Session 2: 10:00am - 1:30pm (3.5 hours)
School Holiday Sessions, NSW, 2024.
Term 1: Autumn Holidays: April 15th to April 26th
Term 2: Winter Holidays: July 8th to July 19th
Term 3: Spring Holidays: September 30th to October 11th
Term 4: Summer Holidays January 6th 2025 to January 31st 2025 (4 week session)
School Holiday Session Times
Session1: 9.00am - 11.00am
Session 2: 11.30am - 1.30pm
Session 3: 1.45pm - 3.45pm
Please note: The centre will be closed on NSW public holidays. Make up sessions are available, please discuss with our First Journeys team.
